The study uses data from &#8216;Education Longitudinal Study of 2002&#8242;, which surveyed the nationally representative group of about 15,000 (the study\u2019s analytic sample size: 10,740) 10th graders in the U.S. in 2002, and followed them up in the year of 2004, 2006, and 2012. The study&#8217;s analysis based on multinomial logistic regression models shows that East Asian young adults&#8217; trajectories of residential independence are more similar to those of white young adults rather than those of South or Southeast Asian peers.
