Since the #MeToo movement and gender-related events in 2018, feminism and generational conflicts have been utilized for political mobilization, making gender and generation an important topic to understand the current politics in South Korea. This study aims to examine how South Koreans’ political ideologies are aligned with gender and generational issues. In particular, this study tests three hypotheses on the relationship between ideology and (1) gender; (2) feminism; and (3) sexism. We find that the associations between political ideology and our independent variables vary across generations.
